By simple we mean without fancy seating so you can keep cost and maintenance down. Normal pontoon seating is high maintenance unless it is stored in a covered garage or covered boat slip. Pontoon boat covers are hard to use and inefffective because it is such a large area to cover without a high central windshield to keep the cover from puddling with rani water. They sell posts that are strapped in position [read lots of work] but they usually fall down anyway and then the cover puddles to a sesspool of water and leaves. Without covering the seating collects lots of decomposing leaves in the crack of the seat bottom making a mess. The storage under the seats is also not water free so everything there gets wet and moldy.

We prefer to spend our time boating or other things, minimizing maintenance, so we sell boats with combination seating using 'patio storage benches' which stored everything like cushions or other folding seating. -- So no need to cover or clean.
 

Prices start at about $4,950 for pontoons and aluminum deck frame assembled, $6750 with marine plywood and vinyl flooring.

2+hp electric motors with batteries are about $1000 each for rear mount tiller or 

front mount wireless remote controll [I prefer both for maintining 3-4 mph speed into the wind.]

Gas motors of any size are also available with console or tiller steering.
